What do parents say?

My children will absolutely sign up for future sessions. Fantastic teaching, great community, and even my shy child had the best time feeling included and filled with fun, enriching activities at Moonlit Wings Productions.

Robert R.

Another wonderful camp! These are such a great summer activity and we’ll definitely be signing up for more acting programs. Our daughter has become a great performer thanks to the Moonlit Wings camps.

Hannah K.

This program exceeded our expectations and felt socially and emotionally supportive. Josie was buzzing with excitement after the first day, made new friends immediately, and was ready to go each morning.

  • Moonlit Wings acting classes and camps are for kids ages 7 and up, as students work with short scripts and need basic reading skills. No prior acting or theatre experience is required—programs are open to all levels. Younger children may be better suited for private coaching.

  • Programs are offered across Northern Virginia, primarily at recreation centers in Fairfax County and Herndon, with select programs in Arlington, Prince William County, and nearby areas. Contact us to bring a program to your school or community group.

  • Yes. Most programs conclude with a showcase or performance for families, giving every student an opportunity to participate and perform.

  • Programs are led by professionally trained teaching artists working in theatre, film, and the arts in the DC region. All instructors complete background checks, and student safety and supervision are a top priority.

  • Students should bring a pencil and highlighter; scripts are provided. Camp students should pack two snacks and a lunch. If a location includes scheduled swim time, please bring a swimsuit and towel. A detailed welcome email with program-specific details is sent prior to each session.

  • We create a supportive, inclusive environment that builds confidence, teamwork, and creative expression. Patient instructors meet students where they are, guiding them through acting, music, movement, improv, and team-building—often seeing our shyest students grow into themselves and shine with the support of their peers and teachers.

  • Refund and cancellation policies are set by the organization managing your registration, such as Fairfax County Park Authority or local schools; please contact the organization you registered with directly for refund-related questions. Programs registered through our website list the applicable policy prior to checkout.

  • Instructors are available to speak with parents at check-in and dismissal, and families receive email updates when needed.
